NAVIGO, GIOYA and UNITAR unite for an executive training on sustainability and management in the shipping industry

Today, at the NAVIGO stand held on the occasion of the Monaco Yacht Show, a significant agreement was signed between NAVIGO, center for innovation and development for the nautical industry, GIOYA, a higher institution that specializes in yachting management, and UNITAR, United Nations Institute for Training and Research. It is a collaborative project that introduces an international Executive training program for managerial and technical maritime profiles with emphasis on sustainability and strategic management. Due to the UNITAR’s contribution, the program will maintain a very high professionalisation level that will provide mediation, soft skills, and communication abilities—the prerequisites for development and innovation in this business.
Katia Balducci, NAVIGO President declared: “NAVIGO has been always sensitive towards training since forever. This new training completes a decade-long experience that, by spanning from ISYL up to professional skill in the specific area, underlines our great focus on human capital as well as on tight relationship with companies.”
Francesco Cappè, GIOYA HEI President noted: “In close collaboration with NAVIGO, we pursue a winning trend in recognizing courses specially prepared for the yachting business that can fill the genuine requirements for professional training in this field.”
Ebru CANAN-SOKULLU, Unitam Global Water Academy Director, further commented: “This is an important day for us: we will be introducing the knowledge of the United Nations where we will be involving a growing yachting sector that will demonstrate its willingness towards training as well as professionalization of individuals.”
Under this agreement, NAVIGO, GIOYA and UNITAR reinforce global cooperation on the international level on the issue of education, providing the nautical domain with real tools to meet the challenges of sustainability and global competition.
