Yachting Week 2025 consolidated its role as a strategic event for the sector, with a third edition that saw an evolution of the format and an expansion of the opportunities for meeting and learning. YARE (Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience) remained the hub of B2B, with growing participation from captains, companies and operators in the refit sector. The success of the event was strengthened by the collaboration with IMM Carrarafiere and the Seatec and Compotec events, which completed the exhibition offering with a focus on technologies, materials and innovations for the nautical sector.

One of the distinctive elements of this edition was the involvement of the entire Tuscan coast, with events that enhanced the peculiarities of the territory and its excellence in the nautical business. A broad and widespread format, which saw moments of strategic comparison in different locations, contributing to the construction of an ecosystem favorable to the growth of the sector.

Among the most significant events, the B2B Special Edition in Viareggio, held on March 12, promoted the meeting between shipyards and companies in the supply chain, creating concrete opportunities for collaboration and commercial development. The day before, March 11, the Yacht Club of Livorno hosted a meeting in synergy with Propeller, dedicated to the theme “Portuality, accessible and sustainable digital infrastructures for boating”, a key topic for the evolution of the sector.

The Yachting Week then extended to Argentario, with an event organized on March 15 in collaboration with CNA Grosseto, which explored growth, innovation and regulation strategies for the nautical industry. A moment of dialogue that involved businesses, institutions and trade associations, with the aim of outlining new perspectives for the sector.

Also as part of Yachting Week, the RINA seminar was held on March 14, providing an update on the new regulations applicable to yachts, both from a classification and statutory point of view. The meeting analyzed the implications for designers, shipyards and owners, offering an overview of the required adjustments and future prospects related to international regulations.

NAVIGO has further enriched the Yachting Week program with three thematic workshops developed in collaboration with Carrarafiere, dedicated to the major themes of the future of the sector.

“A Sea of… Startups” represented a moment of connection between innovation and the market, offering ten selected startups the opportunity to present their solutions to investors and companies in the sector. The Evaluation Committee, composed of leading figures in industry and finance, underlined the high level of the proposals, confirming the great growth potential of the startup ecosystem in the nautical sector.

Attention to sustainability was at the heart of “A Sea of Energies”, which explored the opportunities offered by Renewable Energy Communities and solutions for sustainable energy management in ports, marinas and on board. The discussions highlighted how energy innovation is becoming a strategic element for the entire sector, with concrete development prospects for companies that focus on more efficient and environmentally friendly models.

Technological innovation was instead the protagonist of “A Sea of Technologies”, a workshop led by Prof. Lucia Pallottino of the University of Pisa. The meeting highlighted the increasingly decisive role of robotics and automation in the naval sector, with applications ranging from the construction and maintenance of vessels to safety systems and intelligent management of navigation.

With this edition, Yachting Week has confirmed its growth, laying the foundations for an even larger 2026 edition, with a greater number of initiatives and a program that will continue to evolve to meet the needs of a constantly changing sector.
