YARE 2025 ENDS WITH AN EXTRAORDINARY SUCCESS: NETWORKING, INNOVATION AND STRATEGIES FOR THE FUTURE OF REFIT AND AFTERSALES

The fifteenth edition of YARE (Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience), the international benchmark event for the refit and aftersales sector in the yachting industry, has come to a close. With record-breaking numbers and a packed agenda of meetings, workshops, and high-level strategic discussions, YARE 2025 has confirmed its key role in the global yachting landscape.
Pietro Angelini, director of NAVIGO, states “Refit is a strategic and central market segment for the coming years, as highlighted by the data that emerged from the forum. In particular, the range of yachts between 24 and 50 meters represents a key segment, with important return opportunities for local operators. This makes the adaptation of port infrastructures essential, which must accelerate modernization processes to intercept this growing demand. Moreover, the data clearly show that yachts of this size constitute the most significant share in the Mediterranean”.
International participation and growing numbers
The 2025 edition of YARE recorded around 600 guests attending, with an international presence of 70%, underlining the global importance of the event. The event welcomed 110 superyacht captains, over 120 international companies and suppliers from the refit, services and technology for yachting sectors, creating a top-level networking environment. The numerous B2C meetings and one-to-one matching sessions favored the creation of new collaborations and synergies between operators in the supply chain. In fact, over 2,000 Business to Business meetings were generated at YARE in the 2 dedicated days, with appointments that guaranteed maximum success for the participants, based on the mutual interests expressed in the weeks preceding the event.
The three days of YARE 2025 were structured through a series of events and moments of discussion that allowed professionals in the sector to delve into the main challenges and opportunities for the future:
- Visits to the nautical district: YARE offered participants an exclusive tour of the main shipyards and nautical hubs on the Tuscan coast, between Massa, Viareggio, Pisa and Livorno, giving direct access to Italian excellence in the refit and construction sector.
- YARE Forum and MARE Forum: A key moment of the event, in which over 15 international speakers, including representatives of shipyards, industry experts and superyacht captains, discussed emerging market trends, including the growing demand for sustainable refit, the evolution of digital technologies applied to yacht management and new environmental regulations. A common moment to address the prospects and dynamics of the Mediterranean.
- Thematic workshops: 3 workshops and interactive laboratories were organized on topics such as artificial intelligence and application strategies on board and on land, new materials and refit and stress and well-being management for professionals in the sector.
The 2025 edition of YARE has therefore represented an important platform for comparison between the main nautical clusters of the Mediterranean and beyond. In particular also thanks to the agreement with the French cluster RYN (Riviera Yachting Network) and the Spanish group BMC (Balearic Marine Cluster) for a synergic collaboration on key issues such as specialist training and the joint promotion of the West Med as a privileged destination for the refit of superyachts.
21 countries were represented by the participating companies and commanders, demonstrating the international network of the event.
YARE 2025 was part of the Yachting Week, a week of nautical events, in collaboration with Seatec-Compotec, and in a format that involved the entire Tuscan coast, from Argentario – with the meeting on Saturday 15 March in synergy with CNA Grosseto that addressed the topic “Strategies for Nautical, growth, innovation and rules for an evolving sector”, to the Livorno Yacht Club with the meeting with Propeller held on 11 March “Portuality, accessible and sustainable digital infrastructures for nautical”, in addition to the B2B special edition held on 12 March in Viareggio to promote meetings between shipyards and the supply chain. All synergic activities for the creation of an ecosystem favorable to the growth of the nautical sector.
“This edition marked a further step forward for YARE as an international reference event for refit and aftersales in yachting. The growth in international participation and the high level of meetings confirm that our format works and responds to the needs of a constantly changing market. Quality networking, combined with increasingly innovative content, is the key to YARE’s success and the basis on which we will continue to work for the future” – Angelini concludes.
YARE 2025 has once again proven to be an essential event for yachting professionals, consolidating its role as a hub for networking, innovation and growth in the refit sector. With an edition characterized by a strong push towards digitalization, sustainability and excellence in services, the event has laid the foundations for an even more ambitious future.
The event is renewed for the next edition, with the aim of continuing to grow and innovate in the global panorama of yachting.
